ScheduALL Eases the Pain of Working Time Directive Compliance Facing Media and Broadcast Industries

"Catching potential scheduling errors before they occur is the key to avoiding penalties and fines resulting from non-compliance"

Aug. 30, 2012 - PRLog -- Hollywood, Fla. - ScheduALL, the leading global provider of Enterprise Resource Management (ERM) software to the media and broadcast industries, now offers a new feature to help companies manage personnel schedules in accordance with the  Parliament’s Working Time Directive, which places limits on the number of hours and days an employee can work. Requirements can vary by country and the new ScheduALL Time Directive functionality enables a company to reduce the costs of creating and managing schedules no matter where personnel are located.

“Companies too often struggle to comply with the Working Time Directive, and the costs of non-compliance can be sizeable,” said Joel Ledlow, CEO, ScheduALL. “ScheduALL uniquely addresses that problem by automating the process and ensuring personnel schedules do not violate the legislation’s requirements and limitations. ScheduALL system administrators can configure rules appropriate to their areas, industries and internal policies quickly and based on unique conditions they may have."

While a booking is being created, ScheduALL automatically and immediately alerts the scheduler if there is a danger of violating any of the Working Time Directive guidelines. Additionally, ScheduALL enables an administrator to create groups of rules, or “Shift Styles,” that allows rules to be set and easily changed as new labor directives are introduced or existing ones revised.

These new features are also compatible with ScheduALL’s popular Hitch mobile solution, enabling individuals to reconcile time directly from their tablet computers and smartphones.

“The ScheduALL Time Directive module is a planning tool, catching potential scheduling errors before they occur is the key to avoiding penalties and fines resulting from non-compliance,” added Ledlow.
