360 Photography Flash Template Now Available to Download

Until now the templates required to create spins was only available to members of the Swiftspin Photographer’s scheme, but this latest template is being made available as a free download straight from their website. The free 360 template is written in Adobe Flash and can be used to create basic rollover 360 product spins where the movement of the mouse across the image will make it spin 360 degrees. It comes with a step-by-step tutorial guide explaining exactly how to import images and change the dimensions of spins. The template is written in Flash CS3 but can also be used with the earlier Flash 8 version.

The new website design now allows visitors to access the guides and template without having to enter any personal details, which Swiftspin founder Terry Mapstone believes will appeal to a wider audience. “In the past we have manually emailed our free guides to photographers and retailers who requested it via our website” says Terry. “But the sheer volume of requests from all over the world was proving difficult and time-consuming to manage”. Creating a downloadable file means the Swiftspin team can concentrate on writing more content rather than sending out files.

Swiftspin also noticed a lot of temporary email addresses being used when requesting their guides. This seemed to suggest people were wary of sending their email details out to an unfamiliar company. By making the guides available to download they believe more photographers will gain access to them and begin to experiment with 360 spins.

Once photographers have learnt the basics from Swiftspin’s free guides, many go on to register on the Swiftspin360.com website in order to access more advanced 360 resources. The website is full of useful tips and tricks including 360 photography tutorials, processing guides and 360 software templates and html code.
