Aug. 22, 2012 - PRLog -- Ten years after the army and navy closed its doors, Sean Hunson is reopening them for one night only.

To mark the ten year anniversary of the closure of iconic live music venue that was The Army & Navy in chelmsford a commemorative gig is being hosted at the Marconi social club in chelmsford on Friday the 26th of October. The line up is to include realTv, The Filament, Thead & acoustic sets from Matt Herbert & Forever Never’s Renny Carrol.

The army and navy was Essex’s most popular live music venues, during its time it played host to many up and coming bands such as Oasis, The Libertines, Kula Shaker, Sterophonics, Headswim, Super Furry Animals, Idlewild, Elastica, Longpigs,Wishbone Ash, Feeder and Sleeper.

In March 2006 The Filaments played two sold out reunion shows at The Relentless Garage in Highbury, London with punk band Deadline and the Rebellion punk festival in Blackpool Winter gardens August 2007.
