By: In My Book In this era of economic austerity, here's a thrifty idea for book lovers... IN MY BOOK®, the greeting card that doubles as a bookmark. In addition to the original fifteen, there are now three new styles for a total of eighteen: In My Book, you're Out of This World (sci-fi, fantasy ), In My Book, you're A Legend (history, biography, fiction) and In My Book, you're a Winner (Pulitzer, Nobel, Spelling Bee). IN MY BOOK® cards are printed on heavy-duty watercolor paper and feature lively pen & ink drawings by illustrator Meredith Hamilton. They are sold complete with a red envelope for mailing. The cards recycle from greeting card to bookmark (they perforate), and as such are a long-lasting reminder of the giver for friends, students, teachers, librarians, just about anybody who enjoys a good read. All styles begin with the greeting "In my book..." and conclude with such sentiments as "you're novel", "you're the last word" and "you're some dish". The double-entendres (example: "in my book... you're a classic") is only another example of one card doing two jobs. The cards have been acclaimed in the press (Publishers Weekly calls them "sentimental greetings that make endearing gift enclosures") and the New Yorker's Book Bench (“Cute dedications, sweet illustrations. Wide enough for a short note, they fit comfortably inside a paperback, a picture of an open book just peeking out from the top.") Cards may be purchased at independent bookstores and library stores around the US as well as online. End
