What New Businesses are setting up in Quarter 2 2012

The percentage share of New Businesses setting up has increased while New Owners of existing businesses has declined.
New Business Data say that the two most significant changes are an increase in the percentage of ‘Food, Retail and Wholesale’ outlets but a decrease in the ‘Services’

Looking at a number of individual sectors, the number of ‘Cafes & Tea Rooms’ has increased by over a quarter, ‘Convenience Stores’ have also increased, up nearly 50%, while ‘Delicatessens’
‘Garage Services’ have declined in number by a third, the car maintenance sector as a whole has shown a decline in the number of businesses setting up.
