Follow on Google News | Radio Mantra is back with second edition of “Friendship Se Freedom Tak”: City SpecialThis Independence day, Mantra, along with it's listeners, will build an army to protect the monuments and heritage sites of the city, across it's network.
By: Radio Mantra Commenting on this year's “city special” FSFT Kanwar Sameer, National Programming Head, Radio Mantra says, “65 years of Independence but we're still struggling with the basics... High time that we realize our responsibility and take control by coming forward for a cause like this. Places of historical importance like Agra fort, river Ganga in Varanasi, Ranchi jheel, Kushinagar in Gorakhpur, Kaali Bein in Jalandhar and Karnal fort are our pride and need our immediate attention.” From scribbling on the walls of heritage buildings and monuments, spitting on the streets, urinating in open, or littering, Mantra's army will urge people to pledge and not repeat the aforementioned. The campaign will be culminated on the eve of 15th of August when the Mantra army, lead by RJs will hold a candle march in the city at certain prominent public places. In past also, Radio Mantra has successfully executed many such social campaigns to use the medium's potential to the fullest and contribute in bringing out a positive change. Listeners can join the “Mantra army” by texting on 57272, calling the IVR or by simply spotting the Mantra army on-ground. End
