Polythene UK Secure Contract with the Ministry of Defence

Aug. 14, 2012 - PRLog -- UK plastics giant Polythene UK have secured a contract worth £250,000 with the British Ministry of Defence (MoD). They will be providing the military with around 20,000 high strength pallet covers per month, over the next 5 years. The covers will be used to cover cargo, which will then be dropped into some of the most dangerous and hostile regions on the planet, including highly active warzones.

Due to the undeniable importance of the MoD’s work, this contract proves to be a benchmark in Polythene UK’s professional history. James Woollard, Polythene UK’s Managing Director, has offered his corporate hospitality box at Oxford United FC to troops due to return to the UK from active service. He states: “It’s such a small thing to do, but I wanted to find a way of showing our appreciation to these brave soldiers, who put their lives on the line for all of us. Securing the MOD deal involved a lot of discussion, and really brought home to us just what they are facing on a daily basis”.
