Follow on Google News | SMS Audio by 50 Cent vs Beats by DreJust curious, SMS Audio by 50 Cent vs Beats by Dre, which do you think is better, and why?
By: Hotsalemarts Features Sync's have some nice features. they got track controls, volume controls, on/off/mute and bass boosting control all on the actual headphones and their completely wireless, with 16 Bit lossles audio with a distance of 50 foot away from the audio source....Beats have a on/off button and a mute button, You know who won this. http://www.hotsalemarts.com/ Portablity Beats can collapse/fold up which is a big plus for me and they have a smaller carrying case with a hook thats cool where as syncs dont collapse and have a bigger carrying case with a weird but good handle. Sounds Like Beats win this category .......... BUT the wireless feature on the Sync's give them the ultimate portability, its sweet af without the wires, i can walk around the house and everything its sweet trust me. I dunno how many times ive ripped out the wire on Beats it can be annoying af, you dont get that with Sync's therefore Sync's get the point for this category. (I will give Beats a half point as they fold up and have a smaller carrying case) Design Sync's have a very good design, they look hot you cant deny that. Beats design is good too the black/red, brushed metal is hot and the Beats By Dre across the headband is sweet its looks better than the SMS Audio on the Sync's but compared to the Sync's the overall design is not as nice. The Sync look flashy and thats when the blue LED in the "S" is turned off, the flashing blue light is class. Sync design is alot better so Sync's win here. Durability Beats are notorious for snapping, that musta sucked big time. Syncs are un-breakable, you can bend em and twist em as much as you want, they will not snap. That was one of the coolest thing bout Syncs, they win here. Comfortability/ Both headphones have a different fit to them Beats got that all over egg shape to them where the Sync's are big and round sitting over your ears very well but the shape of the Beats is far better to me they conform to my head more, they cover my ears alot better than the Sync's, when im wearing Sync's i can fit my finger in and touch my ear lobes meaning noise can get in/out i cant do this in Beats theres no holes, nothing. When i first got my Beats they were uncomfortable they hurt a lil after awhile but that is gone now they have softened out after wear and they feal great on my head. I have the similar feeling with the Sync's now as they are new, the foam feels tough but im sure with wear they will soften out just like beats so i cant compare their comfortability right now. This point could fit in design but it has more to do with the fit. Syncs earcups dont swivil that much, they barly move at all. You can move Beats earcups around in a 360 very easily which is great when conforming to the shape of your head, this is a plus for Beats. Im giving Beats 2 points here for the earcup shape/gapless and the swivelness. Noise Cancellation Beats has good noise cancellation, they have the technology. Sync's does'nt. Im pretty sure the reason why they dont have noise cancellation technology is because it would interfere with the audio waves transmitted wirelessly from the dongle to the headphone, thats not a fact just my thought. Plus as i said above there are gaps around my ears meaning you can hear background noise. Beats have better noise cancelletion abilities so they get the point for this category Batteries Beats uses AAA batteries, you will go though a truck full of batteries using Beats i highly reccomend getting rechargable batteries for them, saved me a small fortune. Sync's have a built in rechargable battery in the headphones and the wireless dongle that you charge with a micro USB cable from your laptop or the power supply that comes with them and if the battery does die just plug in the audio cable supplied and off you go, Sync's win. Even tho Syncs has won allready you cant listen and charge the headphones at the same time which kinda sucks, and they only give one usb cable so you can only charge the dongle or the headphones one at a time but a spare usb cable fixes this problem. Price Their both overpriced, none of them are worth their price but a hefty price tag resembles quailty and thats what they are tying to do, so i cant score this category. Sound Quality The big question is which has better sound quality and it was kinda hard to compare them cause the Beats have bass, i mean savage bass but the mids and treble get comprimised and they sound muddy where the Sync's are far clearer, the mids and treble are excellent but theres not as much bass in them as there is in Beats,I feel the Sync' audio sounds a tiny bit dry compared to the Beats coz the amount of bass in the Beats give the track a lil more life. Theres a big difference between the two but i think that Sync has better sound quaily overall its so clear so therefore i give the point to Sync. Conclusion Beats - 3.5 points/ Sync - 6 points Beats are great headphones no doubt about it, im not hating on them i love my Beats but Sync's are better they have way more features, great sound quality and overall a better product. i could have added more stuff but they are the main things, this was my review/comparison people could feel totaly different.
