Follow on Google News | Salt And Light To Host Toronto And Ottawa Premieres Of The Documentary Feature Across The DivideSalt and Light Catholic Media Foundation will host premiere screenings in Toronto and Ottawa of its latest documentary feature, Across the Divide.
As the only Catholic University in the West Bank, Bethlehem faces a unique set of challenges. Founded following the visit of Pope Paul VI to the Holy Land in 1964, the school is an oasis where both Catholic and Muslim students live and study side by side amidst the turmoil and violence engulfing the region. Shot on location in Israel and Palestinian Territories, Across the Divide gives hope amid the divisions that have all too often defined the Holy Land. The Toronto premiere of Across the Divide will take place on Wednesday September 5, 2012 at St. Michael’s College School Centre for the Arts. The evening’s event will begin at 6:00pm with a reception, followed by the screening at 7:00pm. Participating in the evenings event, His Eminence Thomas Cardinal Collins, Archbishop of Toronto, Carl Hetu of CNEWA Canada, co-director of the film Kris Dmytrenko as well as Fr. Thomas Rosica, CEO of Salt and Light Catholic Media Foundation. In Ottawa, the premiere of Across the Divide will take place on Wednesday September 19, 2012 at St. Paul’s University. The evening’s event will begin at 6:00pm with a reception, followed by the screening at 7:15pm. Participating at this event, His Grace Terrence Prendergast, Archbishop of Ottawa, Carl Carl Hetu of CNEWA Canada, co-director of the film Kris Dmytrenko as well as Fr. Thomas Rosica, CEO of Salt and Light Catholic Media Foundation.
