Sewage Pumping Station is Offline in Dubuque

Aug. 6, 2012 - PRLog -- Wilmington DE A wastewater pumping station in Dubuque County is taken offline due to sewage from a septic container. The Iowa Department of Natural Resources says the pumping station at Earlville appeared to be taken offline on Wednesday following a black, petroleum-smelling substance appeared to be found out with a wastewater treatment place. The agency says the substance covered a filter. It might unfortunately take few days for the filter to firmly recover, enabling the substance to flow towards a creek downstream as to the plant.

Officials monitored the information it to the pumping station. The DNR says a septic shipper pumped out a septic tank and dumped the drainage straight into the pumping station, that's illegal.
