LeanCor Supply Chain Group Expanding Operations to China

Aug. 1, 2012 - PRLog -- Third Party Logistics Provider LeanCor Supply Chain Group is expanding its operations to the Chinese market. The firm will launch its logistics services as well as training and education to support both Chinese and American companies with logistics, infrastructure, and academic needs.

The current state of logistics in China has presented challenges with rising logistics costs and long lead times.  LeanCor will capitalize on logistics market growth opportunities in trends such as the movement of manufacturing hubs to the West and increased logistics outsourcing.

Part of LeanCor’s service offering will be training and education on lean supply chain management. Course offerings will include Lean Problem Solving, Lean Supply Chain, Lean Leadership, and Lean Six Sigma Green and Black Belt.  LeanCor executives recently spent time at Jiao Tong University, a sister university of LeanCor’s partner Georgia Tech University, to explore potential for lean supply chain training collaboration.

In addition, LeanCor will support customers in North America with Asian supply base needs.  The scope of service offerings will include supplier development, supplier continuous improvement, trailer and container load planning, general transportation management, and packaging and Plan For Every Part (PFEP) management.  

LeanCor most recently collaborated with Axus/Marco Pencil, one of the world's largest pencil manufacturers, with its supply chain improvement initiatives relative to leveling customer demand and production planning.
