| Automotive Future Embraced for 2012 Corvettes at Carlisle EventThe iconic Corvette brand has been around since 1953 and more recently, Corvettes at Carlisle launched at the Carlisle PA Fairgrounds in the late summer of 1982. This year's event highlights generations of enthusiasts and cars.
By: Carlisle Events In conjunction with Kevin MacKay of Corvette Repair, Inc. and a wide array of GM Engineers, Corvettes at Carlisle is pleased to announce a special event catering to the next generation of Corvette enthusiasts. Along the lines of the "Young Guns" class featured during select shows on the Carlisle schedule, Corvettes at Carlisle invites youth, ages 13-20, to register for unprecedented access to the event, its guests and the ever-popular downtown Corvette Parade and Street Party. As part of this program, a limited group of 25 young people will get the chance, for free, to spend Saturday, August 25 at America's Automotive Hometown. By coming to Carlisle, they'll experience a package that includes admission to the event, lunch, a private meet and greet with Lance Miller of Carlisle Events, MacKay and more than 40 GM Engineers that are responsible for creating and building today’s Corvette. Further, this select group of 25 will be part of the downtown parade and enjoy additional onsite perks. "The Corvette hobby is strong with throngs of enthusiasts; Along with this youth-based initiative, there is a giveaway Corvette courtesy of www.AllVette.net, special displays, industry guests and more. Corvettes at Carlisle historically highlights all eras of production and aims to do so again in 2012. The event is one of the largest and most fun-filled events of its kind in the world and whether you spend a few hours or the entire weekend in Carlisle, you will enjoy special Corvette displays and gatherings featuring concept, performance and historically significant vehicles that are second to none.
