July 23, 2012 - PRLog -- Manufacturing Training announced that it will offer an online Manufacturing Delivery Performance Improvement course in conjunction with the University of Kansas as part of both organizations’ ongoing Manufacturing Performance professional skills development series.  The course focuses on helping behind-scheduler manufacturers get on schedule, and helping manufacturers who are on schedule stay on schedule.

“We’re pleased to bring this course online through the University of Kansas,” said Joseph Berk, a principal of the Manufacturing Training organization.   “If you’ve ever worked in a behind-schedule manufacturing company and been responsible for shipping conforming product on schedule, you know that being in a behind-schedule situation is tough.   You can’t solve this kind of a problem with software, and no matter how much you spend on an MRP or ERP program, unless you address the basics you’re going to stay behind schedule.   This course is based on our experience in helping scores of companies recover to their production schedules by focusing on seven critical factors that are key to getting and staying on schedule.   It’s hands on, it’s intense, and it’s exciting.  And it's real world.  The approach works.”

The course includes a copy of Manufacturing Training's most recent book, Manufacturing Delivery Performance Improvement.

Manufacturing Delivery Performance Improvement is the latest of several courses offered by the Manufacturing Training organization, all of which are focused on manufacturing, quality, and profitability issues.  The course will be offered during online Tuesday and Thursday afternoon/evening sessions starting 21 August 2012.   Manufacturers can also opt for tailored in-house training.  Registration details are available at www.ManufacturingTraining.com or http://www.continuinged.ku.edu/programs/manufacturing-cer....

Other courses offered by Manufacturing Training as part of the University of Kansas Manufacturing Performance program include Industrial Statistics, Cost Estimation, Cost Reduction, Root Cause Failure Analysis, and Quality Management.
