This red carpet event is sure to attract people from state to state as well as all generations, to witness DC’s birthed genre of music and ‘almost’ hidden talent. With the genre of music generally having little to no familiarity outside of the DMV (DC|MD|VA) area, nevertheless Go Go continues to evolve and is being recognized and sampled more today by national artists. The Lifestyle Empowerment Symposium presents Chuck Brown Day hosted by R&B crooner Christopher Williams and Chuck Brown’s daughter KK. Performances include EU featuring Sugar Bear, The Original Soul Searchers, The Original Pleasure Band, Suttle Thought, Trouble Funk, Junkyard, Backyard, India Arie, Dwele, Calvin Richardson and other special surprise performances. This will be the first time The Original Soul Searchers and Pleasure’s all girl band have performed together in years, this show is for all music lovers to mark on the calendar.
