Talking To Veterans About Youth Leadership

July 23, 2012 - PRLog -- Colonel Matthew J. Brown, President of Carson Long Military Academy, recently spoke at the Pennsylvania American Legion’s annual conference at the Harrisburg Hilton.  

The American Legion invited Colonel Brown to address the state legionnaires about the academy’s mission and the role Carson Long Military plays in developing and building youth into leaders.

“It was both an honor and privilege to speak to the key leaders of the American Legion and to thank them for their service to our nation. The Legion’s commitment to mentoring today’s youth is an outstanding and noble cause. In the future, Carson Long hopes to partner with the American Legion with many of their youth programs and scholarship offerings. It is a win-win situation.” Brown said.  

Carson Long Military Academy is an all-boys boarding school for grades 6-12 located in Perry County. The school offers a program that many parents and youth seek in the aspects of structure, discipline, ceremony, tradition, ethics, honor and a quality education.
