UK Beauty Queens set to release Charity Single for Africa

July 17, 2012 - PRLog -- The beauty queen hopefuls are out to put a smile on the faces of less privileged children this summer as they release a charity single on the 27th of July 2012.

The single titled 'Be the Hope' is to raise funds for Street Child Africa, a UK based charity that provides food, shelter and education for street children in sub-Saharan Africa.

Street Child Africa operates in Ghana, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Nigeria, Mozambique, Senegal, Uganda and the DR of Congo.

The beauty queen hopefuls hailing from different African countries will be competing for the title of Miss Black Africa UK 2012 on the 6th of October 2012 in London.  

The single will be available for purchase and download from top, music sites like iTunes, Amazon and CDBaby from the 27th of July 2012 . Finalist and lead vocalist, Assia is currently working on her debut album due for release by Christmas 2012.

The recording took place at the shotcallers Inc Studios in South London. The team is made up of professionals who have previously worked with Don Jazzy who discovered DBanj and CEO of the former Mohits Records now known as Marvin Records.

Miss Black Africa Director , Dele Onabowu explained “ it is necessary to impart into the contestants at the early stages, the spirit of selflessness and the essence of beauty with a purpose”.
