Finalists of the Miss Black Africa UK Beauty Pageant have released a charity single in aid of Street Children in sub-Saharan Africa
Aug. 1, 2012 - PRLog -- The single titled Be The Hope, was performed by the contestants to raise funds for Street Child Africa, a UK based charity that provides food, shelter and education for street children in sub-Saharan Africa. Street Child Africa operates in Ghana, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Nigeria, Mozambique, Senegal, Uganda and the DR of Congo.
The single is now available for download on iTunes and CDBaby.com and proceeds from the sales will go to Street Child Africa.
The beauty queen hopefuls hailing from 13 African countries will be competing for the title of Miss Black Africa UK 2012 on the 6th of October 2012 in London.
Finalist and lead vocalist, Assia is currently working on her debut album due for release by Christmas 2012.
The recording took place at the shotcallers Inc Studios in South East London. Shotcallers Studios have worked with Don Jazzy manager to DBanj who has recently entered the UK charts with his hit single Oliver Twist.
Miss Black Africa is founded on the basis of advancing the cause for women of Sub Saharan African descent. The Pageant hopes to groom African Queens as great Ambassadors for humanity, advocating for the needy by carrying out projects in the UK and Africa. The pageant redefines the African woman as a leader and a vital partner in the development of Africa and the world.
