Amy Heffernan releases her hit single “Dumb It Down”.

July 16, 2012 - PRLog -- Amy Heffernan started her music career as the drummer for Juno in 206.  After moving to Los Angeles in 2008, she graduated from the Musicians Institute with top honors of “The Best Project of the Year”.  During her time there she began writing music with her brother Doug who built his own home studio in Los Angeles with a long time band mate and writing partner Steve Giles.

After the release of Amy’s debut self-titled EP and full length, CD “Being Awesome”, she caught the attention of Canadian radio receiving airplay across Canada.

Amy Heffernan is proud to announce the release of her newest single “Dumb It Down” which is off her yet to be released CD with the same title.  This song is about a phrase that means to simply things, making it easier to understand.  As Amy states, “It’s being annoyed by an ex, of them not getting that point that you are not into them”.  

“Dumb It Down” has a great club/dance beat to it.  It has a heavy punk rock overtone and gives you a compulsive need to move your body and dance.  It makes you want to free yourself on the dance floor.  

“Dumb It Down” the CD marks a new direction that Amy is taking.  This lead song served as a catalyst in energizing her creative mind to write great songs that are radio friendly with catchy verses that attracts audiences from all over.  

Prior to this upcoming CD, Amy had released her initial self-titled EP followed by “Being Awesome” CD along with “Friggin Little Know It All” CD.  Fans are eagerly waiting for the release of this newest project and the reasons are loud and clear.  Amy is relevant; she has a unique pop/rock sound that just energizes your very soul!
