Follow on Google News | Cybernet Launches All-in-One PC for POS ApplicationsCybernet has just launched their first all-in-one PC for point of sale: the iPOS-G45 with resistive touch screen technology. It brings extraordinary power that’s been missing from POS systems, and bridges the gap between new & legacy port systems.
Since 1996, Cybernet has been designing and producing all-in-one PCs that are contained within a keyboard or LCD monitor, customized in accordance with specifications unique to their customers’ industry and business operations. Cybernet is focused on several vertical markets: retail, health care, banking, government and education. In designing the iPOS-G45, Cybernet worked with POS system integrators and retailers to identify the best performance specifications and features that were needed to not only sustain POS operations, but to make the process more efficient, reliable, and user-friendly. Says Cybernet Senior Vice-President Ali A. Bagheri, "When we looked at the Point of Sale market, we discovered that these systems had become slow and outdated. Many new software applications were being developed for POS, but the computer hardware performance wasn’t keeping up. On top of that, many POS systems still use legacy parallel ports and serial ports for their critical peripherals. Finally, end users were becoming more sophisticated and accustomed to using touch screen technology, so it has to be robust. So, we designed an all-in-one PC that addresses all of these shortcomings.” Cybernet will be working through POS system integrators to deliver the iPOS-G45 to the retail, hospitality, and government markets.
