evolve telecom acquires fellow Platinum Partner

Mark Gordon, Evolve Group’s MD will be taking over from Huw in July but the day to day management will remain with the existing theWord Direct team.


The addition of theWord Direct helps strengthen the position of evolve with the breadth of products it can offer, and will provide increased opportunity for cross fertilisation of services across the group. As a result of this acquisition, evolve will now have over 100 employees and will manage in excess of 60,000 numbers across nearly 3,000 SME’s. This positions evolve as one of the top independent mobile companies in the UK.


The acquisition of theWord Direct comes shortly after another recent acquisition, that of Vodafone Silver partner MPC Romford. Managing Director Mark Gordon commented “Although evolve have focussed more on acquiring larger companies, the addition of MPC Romford to the evolve family was given no less importance. The move was executed very smoothly with the entire customer base contacted and migrated within a matter of days.”


In order to accommodate further growth, evolve have recently expanded into purpose built offices in Shoeburyness, Essex. The offices have been designed to create a modern, professional business environment for employees and customers alike.
