Local Southend telecom company helping to support those in need over Christmas

SOUTHEND, U.K. - Dec. 11, 2013 - PRLog -- Evolve Telecom, based in Shoeburyness, has pledged to support those in need over the Christmas period by helping to fund a Christmas meal through a unique customer scheme. The ‘Christmas is 4Giving’ scheme offers friends and family of existing customers, a heavily discounted 4G mobile package with the latest 4G handset, whilst also helping to fund a Christmas meal through the Salvation Army.

Evolve Telecom, a business to business telecoms dealer, often offers specific packaged deals for businesses but the ‘Christmas is 4Giving’ scheme is the first of its kind for the company and possibly the first in the industry.

Mark Gordon, MD at Evolve Telecom states, ”Many people would like to do something charitable or ‘giving’ over Christmas, and often can’t, simply because of other commitments.  With so many people buying the latest 4G phones either for themselves or as Christmas gift, it made complete sense to tie the two things together.” He adds, “We’re adding something very seasonal to the mix too.  We’re putting in some massive savings of up to 17% against the equivalent network tariff. And on top of the savings made, with every connection that we make, we’ll give a donation to the Salvation Army.  The customer makes a major saving, the Salvation Army has financial support over Christmas, and we fulfil part of our corporate and social responsibility.”

The scheme runs through to 24^th December 2013 and has already some very positive feedback. Gordon adds, “We wanted to do something a little different this Christmas, something seen as positive and challenging.  I know some staff volunteer over Christmas for all sorts of projects, and we wanted to be seen to be doing something too.” “Everyone we’ve spoken to loves the concept and we hope the support that we’re able to give really does makes a difference to those in need.”
