Follow on Google News | Sculpture Garden sets the stage for Second Summer Arts Festival at Wildcliff Manor July 14, 2012Wildcliff Sculpture Garden, Summer Concert Series and Arts & Crafts Festival drive Westchester community to new waterfront destination.
Opening at 11:00 am and accompanied by early morning yoga, live music and workshops for the artistically curious, the exhibitors will provide conversation and shopping opportunities while the Sculpture Garden provides an intimate opportunity to be up-close to a selection of work created by renowned artists from New York to Vermont. David Boyajian’s work, titled “Unfurled” Along the fence overlooking the Sound is Jodi Carlson’s “Under the Sea. Carlson is a metal sculptor who creates abstract and semi-abstract art. She specializes in aluminum welding and using repurposed materials such as street signs, advertisements, and tools. She is a member of Collaborative Concepts, an artist-run group which exhibits art in the Hudson Valley, and was honored to be chosen for the MARK Program, New York Foundation for the Art‘s Business of Art program, in 2009. Under the trees, near a stone wall, are two dancing girls titled “Day & Night” created by Piper Strong. They are whimsical, life-size figures who appear as nymphs in the Garden of Delight.
