San Luis Obispo, CA, For Immediate Release – Social media is nothing new, but growing numbers of locals are leveraging the power of networks like Facebook, Twitter and Youtube to find local products and services to purchase. Especially brides-to-be.

“We’ve always known that friends are the most influential resource for brides, as they recommend everything from wedding attire and wedding locations, to invitations, music and everything in between,” said Susan Price, founder of Central Coast Wedding Professionals. “One thing the last couple of years has shown us is that social media makes it easy to bridge the gap and connect on a more personal level that allows our vendors to be part of the entire process.”

CCWP is the largest wedding organization on the Central Coast, consisting on over 150 members covering the entire range of wedding needs. Many of the individual members have their own social media properties, which generally focus on their specific offerings. More than 2/3 of the members have Facebook accounts, and with the rising popularity in Pinterest, are quickly adopting the newest social media darling into their marketing campaigns.
