Stab 6 Slices Through Production

Stab 6 only has a month remaining of production! Writer and director Joshua Patrick Dudley shares some details.
June 22, 2012 - PRLog -- With anticipation building for the October 31st release of JDuDs Productions’ “Stab 6: Ghostface Returns” – the latest entry in the cult-fan-following amateur-slasher franchise, who’s movies stream for free online viewing – the cast and crew are entering their final month of production.
We caught up with writer and director, Joshua Patrick Dudley who says, “Production is going great! We have an insanely talented cast this time and we’ve upped the production value a lot. We only hope our fans notice the extra thousand dollars we sank into production this time!”
The Stab series are Scream Fan Films supposedly based on the fictional “Stab” films inside the Scream movies (see Scream 2, 3 and 4 for more details). Dudley says, “I’d say we’re actually a little more Scream fan film than Stab films, now. Our scripts headed in such a different direction that I’m not sure our movies would actually be able to be the same “Stab” movies inside the Scream movies... but, what’s most important to us, is that we honor, respect and pay tribute to the Scream Franchise.”
Stab 6 finds the remaining survivors of “Stab 4: Fresh Blood” again being stalked by the ghost-faced menace, after several of them managed to escape in Stab 5. “This time,” Dudley smiles “someone else is determined to finish the job. We really wanted to play on the tacky horror movie situations, so about half way through the movie a good portion of the cast is locked in a reality-tv-show house an… well I’m sure you can figure out what happens from there.”
Production on Stab 6 will wrap at the end of July and Dudley says he’s hopefully the movie may even premiere before its scheduled release date. “But, that’s only if everything keeps going according to plan… and it usually doesn’t. Production continues with was cast Promotional Photo Shoot on June 23rd and the filming takes place just about every day in the month of July.
Stab 6 is also holding #FanArtFridays. Fans of the Stab series can post their own Stab 6 posters/art work on the official Stab 6 Facebook page ( ) and possibly win the chance to have their art displayed as Stab 6’s profile picture for a week! Winners are chosen by the number of “likes” received on each image.
Dudley also teases that a new official Stab 6 poster will be revealed soon and that about halfway through July we can expect a full-length trailer. As for a teaser trailer… keep your eyes peeled!
