Melanie Chisholm will jog with the torch for the Olympic Games

June 15, 2012 - PRLog -- Melanie Chisholm, the former Spice Girl, showed off her British pride as she jogged with the Olympic Torch through her hometown, Liverpool.

The pop star was invited to show off her British pride and join a team of runners to jog with the flame on its journey around the U.K. ahead of the London 2012 Games this summer.

Taking to her Twitter.com page before the run, she wrote, "Anyone in Birkenhead Park, I'll be near the visitors centre about 6:15pm. We're all getting nervous!”

Mel C sported Union Jack Minx as she carried the Olympic torch on its relay from Bolton to Liverpool.

According to Scratch Magazine, “Top tech David Barton groomed Sporty Spice's nails and she sent him a 'thank you' via Twitter before she carried the torch alongside Olympic track cycling champion, Chris Boardman MBE.”
