Helping installers out of a jam

Parts Center is continuing to help installers save their most valuable resource
June 13, 2012 - PRLog -- Parts Center is continuing to help installers save their most valuable resource – time. A recent Clik study showed that poorly managed communication wasted more time than being stuck in traffic jams.

Of the installers questioned, over eight in ten (85%) said they spend over an hour a day on paper work, often dealing with a range of different jobs and customers, which can make it easy to forget exactly what they need at the trade counter.

Parts Center’s Get it right first time! checklist pads help installers to do just that – get it right. Installers can jot down the details straight onto the A6 pad when the job is quoted, saving them time and money by getting the right part first time, every time. As a result, less time is spent with returns and more time can be devoted to getting on with the job.

Traffic was still a problem though - a significant number of installers said that getting stuck in it is still a drain on their time, as they travel in search of the parts needed to finish a job. With a list of over 50,000 items on Parts Arena - Part Center’s ID system - at the counter of over 500 branches across the UK, installers are never far away from a solution.

Parts Arena is also accessible through an SD card, which is compatible for use in most smart phones. Colin McGregor, Parts Center’s Sales Director, says: “Our SD Card means installers can steer clear of traffic jams because they can access our entire stock range and order what they need without leaving the customer’s site.”
