Alpha Energy Powers Military Communication Center in Southwest US
Alpha Energy, a leader in the renewable energy sector, has installed a state-of-the-art Hybrid Power System (HPS) for US military communications in Fort Bliss, TX.
Located at a site known as Endeavor, the HPS combines the Alpha DC power supply with OutBack Power’s trusted charge controllers, resulting in a 24/7 power source that fits unique, off-grid load requirements. The Endeavor installation facilitates solar arrays, power conversion, power storage and generator backup to create a system offering exceptional reliability and 63.45 Kilowatts of renewable power.
“The HPS provides a streamlined power source and minimal maintenance requirements to enhance communications at Fort Bliss,” said John Meyer, Director of Applications and System Engineering. “The system is clean and user-friendly, but still incorporates the ruggedness and reliability required for military applications.”
The Alpha HPS is ideal for telecom, security, military, and other mission critical applications that require the reliability and security of solar power. These versatile power plants are easily configured with AC or DC throughput options including inverters, DC rectifier converters, breakers, alarms, batteries and solar controllers.
