Birkett Long acquisition shows business is thriving in South Essex

May 31, 2012 - PRLog -- The firm’s expansion is thanks to the acquisition of Wickford solicitors Brian Ruff, Angus and Jewers (BRAJ), whose staff will move into Birkett Long’s expanded offices in Christopher Martin Road from mid June.  BRAJ, which has a 50-year history, specialises in personal client work such as probate, tax, trusts, family law, conveyancing, personal injury and landlord and tenant work.

Birkett Long Managing Partner Adrian Livesley said the acquisition highlighted the firm’s commitment to business in South Essex.  “We have great confidence in the marketplace as well as an ongoing determination to thrive in a difficult economic climate,” he said.  

“With this level of growth in such a short period of time, we are confident that we will be able to create job roles for Basildon in the short to medium term.”

As well as Basildon, Birkett Long has offices in Colchester and Chelmsford.  The acquisition of Brian Ruff, Angus and Jewers is the firm’s fourth such deal in three years, having also joined forces with Jackson and Partners and Passmores in Colchester and Weight, Wolny and Trusler in Chelmsford since 2009.
