2,000 Patients to Receive $1 Million in Free Dental, Medical & Vision Care June 8-9 in Grayslake

2-day ISDS Foundation and CURE Network includes1,500+ volunteer dentists, hygienists, assistants, physicians, optometrists, nurses, students and lay volunteers from all over Illinois.

All services will be provided by licensed professionals.

Free services include:
DENTAL: Cleanings, fillings, extractions, limited partials
VISION: Eye exam; prescription eyeglasses made on-site (as time & supplies permit)
MEDICAL: General medical consults, blood sugar/diabetes screenings, women’s health, blood pressure screenings

WHAT: ISDS Foundation/CURE Network Mission of Mercy
WHEN: Patient Care – Friday, June 8 and Saturday, June 9
Doors open at 6 am both days.
We are prepared to treat 1,000 patients each day on a first-come, first-served basis.
(Setup – Thursday, June 7)

WHERE: Lake County Fairgrounds, Grayslake, Illinois
Members of the media are asked to please use Entrance B (Patient Entrance) on WEST side of building.

Interview and story opportunities:

• “Walk the line” with Mission of Mercy spokespersons and interview patients waiting in line (some overnight) before the clinic doors even open.
• See Mission of Mercy in action by touring the clinic floor and interviewing patients, dentists, physicians, and other volunteers about this large-scale charitable effort to reduce barriers to health care in Illinois.
• Talk with area dental and medical professionals about why charity events like MOM are not the final solution to our state’s Medicaid crisis.
• Potential opportunity to interview Governor Pat Quinn and state legislators, who have been invited to tour the clinic.
