Follow on Google News | Construction Firm tipped for Quality AwardsA state-of-the-art building developed by Bingley based construction company, QSP Construction, has been shortlisted in this year’s LABC (Local Authority Building Control) Building Excellence Awards.
Now in their 8th year, the awards recognise builders and developers who achieve high standards of workmanship and who provide innovative and creative solutions to design and build challenges. QSP were one of just three construction firms across the region to be short listed in the commercial category. The shortlisted building, in Riverside Estate near Salt’s Mill in Saltaire, provides a home for Ortho-Care’s sales and administrative operations, alongside warehousing and distribution, conference facilities, a canteen and gymnasium. QSP Director, Andrew Walker said, “We’re delighted to be shortlisted for the LABC awards as they recognise the highest quality in construction, which we strive to achieve in all our projects. The new Ortho-Care HQ is a striking landmark building in Saltaire and combines cutting edge design with the craftsmanship and dedication of our site team.” Paul Everall, Chief Executive of LABC said, “LABC sees the Ortho-Care HQ building as an excellent example of state-of-the- Richard Garford, co-founder of Ortho-Care said, “It was important that the new building could accommodate our growing business, support our future expansion plans and provide a comfortable working environment for our staff. We’re delighted with the final result.” The LABC award ceremony takes place on 14th June at Headingley Stadium when the winner will be revealed. Finalists then have the opportunity to be nominated for the National LABC Awards to be held in London on 13 November. End
