PGA Champion Fuzzy Zoeller Donates Once-in-a-Lifetime Golf Experience
Fuzzy Zoeller, winner of the 1979 Master’s, 1984 U.S. Open and the 2002 Senior PGA Championship, has donated a once-in-a-lifetime golf experience to be auctioned at the 3rd Annual Wesley Glen/Wesley Ridge Charity Golf Classic.
The highest bidder will win the opportunity to golf in a foursome with Fuzzy at the Covered Bridge course in Sellersburg, IN. One of golf’s great personalities and characters, Zoeller won 10 PGA Tour events and has two Champions Tour victories, including the 2002 Senior PGA Championship. His easy-going style and light-hearted approach to the game make him one of the most sought after Pro-Am partners.
Covered Bridge is a Fuzzy Zoeller- designed 18-hole course nestled on a gently rolling plain at the foot of Southern Indiana's famous Floyds Knobs. Each hole has been laid out to emphasize the natural beauty of the landscape and panorama. The par 72 circuit features five lakes, a meandering creek and is pleasantly forested. Greens are gently contoured and trap placement is challenging but not punishing. Paved cart paths connect all tees and carts can be driven anywhere on the course's Zoysia grass fairways. Each hole offers a choice of four separate tees matching the course to the ability level of any player.
Title Sponsor for the event is Select Medical Rehabilitation Services, a leading provider of specialized inpatient and outpatient health care. Presenting Sponsor is The Joseph Group, an investment advisory group.
The event begins with player registration at 9:30 a.m. and a shotgun start at 11 a.m. The event is not limited to golfers. Following the tournament, guests and players will have a chance to mix and mingle as the event concludes with awards, dinner and live and silent auctions.
• $800 per foursome (includes 18 holes of golf, beverages, boxed lunch, dinner and auction)
• $75 per person to attend only the dinner and auction
• The Charity Golf Classic is limited to 30 teams
• Deadline to register is July 2, 2012
