Each week, the book will be sold in honor of a charity that benefits individuals with memory impairments. 50% of all proceeds from Tuesday, May 22nd & Wednesday, May 23rd will go to the LBDA. The author’s work in the field of Memory Care provided a personal, life-changing experience working with individuals with memory impairments such as Alzheimer's Disease. Ms. Porter states, “We wanted the launch to be something special – something that would benefit the greatest number of people. I can’t imagine doing this without including the Bike4Alz organization. The personal sacrifice they are making to promote awareness for Alzheimer's Disease is remarkable. I hope we can always be a contributing part of what they do.” Bike 4 Alz is a group of 12 young men that will be biking across the country this summer in an effort to raise an impressive $175,000 for Alzheimer’s research.
