| Ci Ci Foster, Creator of I Heart Hollywood, Launches DVD For Aspiring Actresses of ColorI Heart Hollywood takes a look at the lives of 14 sexy, talented, up and coming celebrity actresses and their rise to fame in Hollywood
By: Publicity 911 An honest, gripping film that depicts the battles and triumphs of African American and other women of color in Hollywood, “I Heart Hollywood” features African American actresses J. Nicole Brooks, an actress and writer who wrote the Jeff Award nominated political satire Black Diamond: The Years the Locusts Have Eaten, and Ochuwa Oghie, an actress who appears in the TV series Touch, Grey’s Anatomy, and many others. Bain and Foster also share their personal stories of success and challenges while breaking into the industry. Foster and Bain, both from Chicago, left the windy city to become successful Hollywood actresses, and ended up becoming inspiring film producers in the process. While statistics show that there is a shortage of African American producers, Bain and Foster are planning to change that, and are following the path of famed filmmakers Tyler Perry, John Singleton, and Ava Duvernay by carving their own path in the industry and creating quality films that speak to the minds and hearts of African Americans. The duo created Flower Goddess Productions in 2009 to open up new doors for black actresses, and to provide new roles not seen on the big screen. “We want to show the world that black actors can play more positive, strong characters. Our goal as producers is to create more diverse roles for African American actors in Hollywood,” states Foster.
