Renovation of The Hotel: first new rooms delivered

Following the presentation of the first room designed by the Spanish architectural firm ‘GCA Arquitectes Associats’ in January, the first series of rooms was delivered last week and they can now be reserved at a special ‘preview’ rate. This is the lowest available price for any given day. In September around 100 new rooms will be available and all 424 rooms will be ready by autumn 2013.

A combination of comfort and technology
The space of the deluxe panorama room has been used to its best advantage. The traditional office and chair have been replaced by a leather sofa and swivel table located in the window area. Guests can even enjoy the exceptional view of the upper town from the luxury of their open bathroom! It will be a dream come true for the ‘tech savvy’ traveller with free Wifi and a Mediahub™ with which smartphone, iPod, tablet or laptop can be connected to the 40" HD LED television. As of September guests will be able to access their rooms via their smartphone and check in and out without having to go to the reception and without the need of a key card.

The Panorama Lounge
The executive lounge on the 24th floor has been extended, entirely renovated and renamed as the Panorama Lounge. The fittings are, just as the rooms, inspiring, elegant and stylish and make the most of the unique view from this height. There is a selection of the most beautiful luxury lifestyle books in the decorative library, emphasising The Hotel’s fabulous location, on the fashionable Boulevard de Waterloo with pretty much all the world famous luxury lifestyle and fashion brands just around the corner.

Further renovation work
The completion of the first rooms is just a fraction of the complete and comprehensive renovation of The Hotel, which began with the top floors.
On the 23rd floor a ‘fitness centre & spa’ is currently being equipped and will be available to guests as of the end of May. The fitness centre will have around twenty cardio & power fitness machines, a large sauna, a hammam, 2 relaxation areas and 3 massage, manicure, pedicure and beauty treatment rooms.

The meeting rooms on the 25th, 26th and 27th floors will be delivered in September 2012.
The final stage of The Hotel’s renovation will be completed with the ground floor in autumn 2013. The Hotel remains open for guests whilst the renovation works are being carried out.
