Announcing YOUR Office Idol 2012 through Friends

May 1, 2012 - PRLog -- OHIO - Friends Business Source (FBS) supports administrative professionals throughout Ohio and Western Pennsylvania by hosting an Office Idol contest from March 1 through April 20 that included $425 in prizes.

Those nominating administrative professionals for the Office Idol title were directed to www.friendsoffice.com or www.facebook.com/friendsoffice via email marketing, social media and word-of-mouth advertising in order to participate in this contest. There were 36 total nominations between March 1 and April 1.

Fourteen finalists were chosen by FBS representatives. Finalists were posted on the web where the general public could view their nomination information during the voting period. Between April 1 and April 20, 5,703 votes were cast for the next Office Idol.  The top three winners were announced on Administrative Professionals Day, April 25, 2012. First place was given to Judy Henwood, Office Assistant for General Sherman Jr. High of Lancaster City Schools, who is a customer of FBS. She had 2,027 votes. She is the winner of a Keurig B140, which is a single-cup coffee machine sold through FBS.

Upon learning of her nomination and receipt of the $200 prize, Judy wrote in to the FBS team. “I am so grateful to Sonya Baeza for nominating me and letting our district know about the Office Idol voting.  I am very humbled and honored to have the support of our wonderful District to make receiving this award possible.  Thank you [Friends] for making this grateful almost retiree feel so special.”

“Judy has been a wonderful smiling face for thousands of people in the community of Lancaster for over 20 years,” affirms General Sherman Jr. High Principal, Scott Burre. “She will be missed by many as she completes her last year before retirement.” Burre welcomed the opportunity to include a testament for the office idol winner in this release.

Second Place winner of the $150 office chair is Christine Thomas who is an EMIS Coordinator/Registrar for Revere Local Schools. She accrued 1,823 votes between the online poll, the Facebook poll and the “likes” on her Facebook photo in the Office Idol Facebook Album.

Third Place winner of the $75 branded apparel shirt of her choice is Crystal Adkins who is an Accounting Assistant for P&A Industries. She tallied 718 votes.
