April 20, 2012 - PRLog -- Haven Power’s recent consultant events provided the perfect opportunity for energy consultants to hear about the business electricity supplier’s growth over the past year, its future plans and the impact of third-party costs and taxes.

With one held at Drax, North Yorkshire, and the other in Ipswich at Kesgrave Hall, both events proved to be popular with consultants around the country. As well as highlighting Haven’s success in the latest Datamonitor Customer Satisfaction Survey results (first for SME customer satisfaction in the B2B Energy Consumer Survey H2 2011), speakers from different Haven departments took to the stage to outline the business’ latest developments.

The newly-launched flexible product offerings, Flex Pro and Flex Lite, were talked through by Ray Attridge, I&C sales manager, while Matthew Williamson, flexible contract trader discussed the influence of world events on oil and gas prices. Adrian Glasgow SME consultant manager updated attendees on the growth of the consultant channel team and the SME HH offering. Richard Robey, sales and marketing director, outlined the integrated marketing campaign Haven has been undertaking and the positive results so far.

The event proved to be the ideal forum to discuss the issue of third-party costs and taxes, which chief executive Peter Bennell focused on. He talked about the steep rise in distribution, Renewable Obligation and transmission costs, and the importance of business customers understanding these as part of their bill.

“Communicating with consultants is key for us, and these events proved to be the best format for telling them about our plans, as well as talking face-to-face about current issues such as third-party costs and taxes,” explains Peter. “We know that consultants need to be kept informed by suppliers to make their job a little easier, so we hope the two events helped answer any questions they may have had.”
