Browne Jacobson promotes five to partnership

April 16, 2012 - PRLog -- Browne Jacobson is pleased to announce the promotion of five lawyers to its partnership.

The promotions, which take effect from 1st May 2012, will bring the total number of partners at the firm to 78.

The new partners are:

•   James Tait (Employment) - Birmingham
•   Jonathan Hayden (Commercial Health) - Birmingham
•   Nick Mackenzie (Education) - Birmingham
•   Jim Hobsley (Financial & Professional Risk) - London
•   Dawn Lobley (Employment) - Nottingham

James Tait is an experienced employment law specialist with particular experience in advising on restrictive covenants, redundancy and TUPE issues for the firm’s public and private sector clients.

Jonathan Hayden leads our commercial health practice in the West Midlands. He advises health and social care clients on commercial contracting, projects, joint ventures, statutory powers and duties, and compliance.

Nick Mackenzie is head of the Birmingham education team. He has extensive experience of advising local authorities and not-for-profit organisations on governance issues, collaborations and establishing companies and trading companies. He has also advised on over 45 academy projects.

Jim Hobsley specialises in claims against solicitors and barristers, as well as having considerable experience of claims against surveyors and accountants.

Dawn Lobley advises both public and private sector clients on the full range of employment issues.  Her clients range from Fire Services to manufacturing and other commercial organisations.
