EMT VALENCIA chooses GOAL SYSTEMS for their planning and scheduling needs

April 13, 2012 - PRLog -- APRIL 2010 – Valencia, SPAIN. EMT VALENCIA is the Urban Bus Company providing service to the city of Valencia (Spain) since 1875. It ranks third among mass transit companies in Spain by size, providing service to 90 million passengers a year throughout 63 lines covering 900 km with 500 buses and approximately 1500 employees.

For the last 10 years EMT Valencia has been using a scheduling software which was not able to adapt itself to the changing circumstances of the city, nor to achieve the company’s goals of service and growth.

In April EMT Valencia launched an international contest to identify the best products in the market so that the company could analyze which ones would best fit its needs.

GOAL SYSTEMS and its tools GoalBus® and GoalDriver® have been chosen as the best suited to fulfill the company’s requirements.

The project began with a pilot experience where GoalBus® optimization capabilities outperformed the former software.
