EXCLUSIVE Interview Model and Actor Garrett Forbes

April 12, 2012 - PRLog -- Garrett Forbes has effortless charm and earnest innocence. Within minutes of meeting him, you can tell he’s completely authentic, totally genuine, just a great human being.

    Forbes is destined to be a permanent marquee in big-industry Hollywood for the foreseeable future, working now behind the scenes as a producer for the FashionTV film “Atlantis” which will debut new collections from some of the hottest designers.  Forbes wrote the original screenplay and is collaborating with the talented Natalia Kills.  

   Garrett Forbes debut was in the film “Megalopolis” directed by Francis Ford Coppola. He looks up to Francis Ford Coppola as one of the best directors in the industry.  Forbes has much appreciation for all that he has been awarded, all that he has worked so hard to earn.  Despite his shy personality when he first meets you, Forbes wanted to be a performer from an early age.

  Garrett Forbes has trained at some of the top acting schools in Hollywood including Margie Haber and The Groundlings. While attending acting school full time he also worked regular jobs and attending college pursuing his Law Degree.

  Forbes started booking various parts in music videos,print, commercials, and movies.  He was featured in the film starring Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett “The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button” as a ballet dancer.

 When asked about his current projects and private life, he said

“I am a pretty simple guy. I enjoy going to the beach, going on hikes with my dog, and reading great books.  

I don’t go out to clubs and I don’t party. I don’t even drink alcohol. I just find myself so focused and too busy to even drink, I am driven, I have usually ten projects in the works at a time.  It is crazy how in the end everything comes together, I feel like a machine sometimes.

 I am very focused on my career.  I am not one to judge those who drink but, for me It just isn’t for me. One person I thought was my friend even told me I would be cooler if I drank and it is those kind of people you just have to cut out of your life, if they peer pressure you into drinking or doing drugs.    

    For me I am just the same kid that is fascinated with music, space, and playing with my dog. I am always down for adventure, I don’t mind get dirty. I went camping in the desert for a while a little while back.  It was such an awesome experience. I seriously was building fires, preparing meals, and walking ten miles to the springs to bathe everyday...that is heaven to me.  I find it a necessity for me to be connected to nature.”

 Within the past year he has learned that being in the public eye does have a price. When asked about certain incidents in pertains to being in the public eye he responded, “Last year I was very busy with various projects including modeling for Men’s Fudge Magazine in Tokyo, MAC Viva Glam Campaign featuring Lady GaGa, Essential Homme Magazine, and I was nominated for SFFA 2011 Award. One night when I was at dinner with friends there was a table of six or so women and they all got out their phones and started taking photos of me, the table next to me got out their phone and began to google me.  I felt like I was in the show Twilight Zone.  

   It was so funny to me at the time. Another time that sticks out to me was when I was with my girlfriend and we were talking outside on the patio of a restaurant.

   All the sudden a bunch of girls started circling around me with excitement shrieking my name and touching me and grabbing my tank top trying to rip it off. My girlfriend was not too happy to say the least at the time.  I have learned to be more aware of my surroundings and I have come to realization that I choose this lifestyle. I am so thankful for finding a better understanding of myself, my life, and seeing clearly who my true friends are. I thank God for the many blessings he has given me, I am very lucky.”

   Garrett Forbes has notable works in the fashion and entertainment industry many which he hasn’t really spoken of, he has always been humble about his stature.

 Many find themselves in admiration of Garrett Forbes when they learn more about his achievements, which include him art directing major fashion editorials, developing models that are known in the industry, web designing for various companies, fashion designer, and he is even an author that has been published in a few books.

Garrett Forbes has used his name to raise money for various charities some of them include MAC AIDS Fund, American Red Cross, Discarded To Divine, AIDS/Lifecycle, People With Disabilities Foundation, and Sea Shepherd.
