April 3, 2012 - PRLog -- We would like to describe a comprehensive strategy that integrates existing techniques of software testing and methods of reliability analyzing in the hierarchical representation.

This strategy includes various models of the statistical testing in order to perform high levels verifications, as well as to control the selective testing of critical and frequently used areas, or entire components using traditional structural testing.

The data resulting from the usage of this strategy can also be used for a variety of security checks for such purposes:

•   providing the rational evaluation of the reliability of the current state of the web from a user perspective
•   predicting of future reliability when using current strategy
•   definition of problem areas and problem components for directional reliability improvement

This strategy consists of three phases described below:

1.   Engineering of the high-level operational profile. It includes the basic functions to be supported by web applications and the frequency of use by clients. This operational profile can be added with additional information that is supported by lower-level models which are based on Unified Markov models. Auxiliary information includes the grouping of similar functions and displaying of the main features of the primary external functions to web components or sources.

2.   Unified Markov models can be configured in such a way that you will have an opportunity to check the related components and operations for each high-tier group of functions accurately. Unified Markov models are designed to achieve the desired behavior, use and maintenance of critical information in web applications and can be used to generate test cases in order to fully cover the high-level operations and partially cover the major low-stage operations. Test results can be analyzed to detect the weaknesses of the system. Because of such analyzing it will be able to focus on the correcting of system feeble, as well as to evaluate and improve the reliability and productivity of the entire system.

3.   Critical part of the projects that were detected by using Markov models can be carefully examined using the models of the lower levels which are based on traditional methods of software testing http://qatestlab.com/services/our-qa-services/software-pr.... Other quality assurance http://qatestlab.com/services/service-models/offshore-sof... activities, such as different methods of analysis, methods of prevention, different formal and informal verifications can also be used to meet customer requirements and wishes about the weaknesses of the system.

Methods of the determining the risks and analyzing reliability are very important part of Web Testing http://qatestlab.com/services/types-of-applications/web-a... Integrated Hierarchical Strategy and are used to ensure in and to improve the reliability of the whole web application.
