By: Neal Communities The Semper Fi Fund was established in 2004 to help injured and critically ill members of the U.S. forces and their families in need. Most impressively, almost 95% of the funds raised are used to support this mission, fortunately with very little overhead cost. This money provides financial assistance to defray the expenses of injured or ill soldiers and their families during hospitalization, rehabilitation, and recovery. Donations are always welcome and needed. New to this year’s event line-up will be a “Meet Our Wounded Heroes” Cocktail Party. The party will be held in the evening on Thursday, March 29th at Boca Royale. Featured guest will be Karen Guenther, the founder of the Semper Fi Fund. Also in attendance will be four Marines and their families, all who have been helped by the charity. Cost to attend is only $25 and includes two drink tickets and hors d'oeuvres. The Third Annual Boca Royale Semper Fi Charity Golf Tournament will be held at the Boca Royale Country Club in Englewood on Friday, March 30. For more information about the tournament or cocktail party, call Bob Snyder at 941-460-8555. # # # Neal Communities is Southwest Florida’s largest, most established locally owned and operated private company.
