Follow on Google News | GEA Process Engineering will be launching POWDEREYE™ at ANUGA 2012GEA Process Engineering will be launching POWDEREYE™, a new system for in-line powder analysis, at the ANUGA exhibition in Cologne from 27 – 30 March, 2012.
The POWDEREYETM is a break-through in in-line powder sampling and analysis. Other technologies are available, but POWDEREYE™ has revolutionised the process. In-line sampling and analysis can now be done in a simple, quick and accurate manner that allows for better monitoring of the spray drying process to help secure product quality and consistency, and plant performance. POWDEREYE™ makes all tests in a single operation. The samples are taken in a timed frequency and followed by real-time analysis. The analysis includes Powder Moisture Content (by microwave technology), Powder Bulk Density (loose and tapped), Powder Temperature and Scorched Particles (by digital image analysis). All data is displayed to the plant operators as trend curves and alarms in the plant HMI system. The monitoring the process using these five tests; the improved powder quality surveillance; POWDEREYE™ is a highly flexible and adaptable solution that requires no complicated calibration for different products and can be used for a wide range of applications, from improved process control in plants to analysis at laboratories and R&D plants. GEA Process Engineering will be occupying part of the GEA Group stand at ANUGA located in Hall 4.1. to promote the GEA Niro drying technologies and related equipment. Sales and engineering staff will be on hand to provide assistance and guide visitors through the leading GEA technologies on show. End
