Hoxton Hall are interested in this in particular because of the history of the space and their cabaret agenda. ____________________________________________________________ Kit Hesketh-Harvey is currently relaunching his act with musical talent James McConnel. He is speaking about the history of cabaret in general, and will be throwing in a couple of songs to make his points. Dusty Limits will talk about the possibilities and limits for cabaret as an art-form - some of the generic & formal characteristics - while he is also delving into the political history of cabaret. Mat Ricardo will talk about the history of his juggling/comedy from a personal biographical standpoint and discuss how that fits into the history of the variety arts in cabaret. ____________________________________________________________ ToMax Talks is an eight-month old enterprise set up by Tom Clark and Max Mallows (24 & 23). We arrange unique evenings of talks: stimulating, whacky, fun affairs which are not lectures and which are pitched at the young. The idea is to revive the art of story-telling, to hear wit and wisdom and to get out and meet people. There is always a bar and a fluid feel. The evenings are intimate - audience of 100, so you can easily meet the speakers if you so wish. # # # Inspiring talks by accomplished speakers in a fun setting. Debate, discussion, stories and a drink or two. End
