Rd Game Calls Launches New Website & Turkey Call Focuses On Pro-staff And Calls For Youth Program

March 16, 2012 - PRLog -- RD Game Calls announces the launch of their new website this month.  The company is a game call manufacturing company based in Idaho.  The company makes duck, goose and predator calls among other types.  All the calls are handmade, finished and tuned by owner, Rex Dewey.  To celebrate the launch of the website, RD Game Calls is hosting a contest where there are many way to enter both on the new website as well as on the RD Game Call Facebook Fan Page.  

Along with the calls and contests, RD Game Calls focuses on getting youth involved in conservation and hunting through two different programs. In addition to RD Game Call’s Pro-Staff program, RD Game Calls has a JR. Pro-Staff program where they bring on youth interested in hunting and mentor them through their interaction with the regular Pro-Staff.  Getting calls in the hands of youth gets them interested in something important and keeps them from being bored and finding trouble.   Another way RD Game Calls supports youth hunting is through their Calls For Youth Program.

The Calls For Youth program is set up where kids can request a free duck call through both the RD Game Calls website or Facebook Fan Page.  All they ask is that the kids send a picture for age verification and a copy of their hunting license so that they know the kids really hunt.  This is a program open to any youth that couldn’t otherwise afford a call.  Rex donates not only his time making the calls, but the materials and shipping costs.  The calls are made from local wood harvested on the Snake River such as Russian Olive or from wood donated by others such as Elm and Poplar.  

Calls go out to individuals requesting them as well as to official Youth Hunts and other charity organizations across the United States that support hunting for kids.  The goal for 2012 is to give away 500 calls to deserving kids and organizations.  Donations of wood or cash to support this project are always welcome.
