The update should be available in the iTunes App Store on the 16th to coincide with The Boston Marathon and the London Marathon.
By: Caitlin Seick Headquartered in Chicago, WalkJogRun.net was founded in 2002 by Almost Awesome, Inc. making it the first run-mapping site on the net. Users map their exercise routes using the Google Maps interface, and the site calculates calories burned, distance traveled and pace per mile. The mobile app, released in 2009, quickly became popular for members of the WalkJogRun community on the go. The app is all a runner needs to track their training progress. Feature requests for the app have come in by the thousands, and WalkJogRun is listening. The new update offers the ability to create routes, track runs in real time with a GPS, view and edit training progress, or follow one of 23 training plans for beginner to advanced runners and walkers.
