By: Wizard of Wisdom Publishing Trevor Emdon, aka “The Wizard Of Wisdom” is setting out to teach the world that to have a happy and fulfilled life you don’t need a magic wand. Or, to be more precise, he asserts that we all have one. It’s just that we don’t know how to use it. Reaching out from his website, http://www.wizardofwisdom.com, Emdon appeals to the masses who feel that life should deliver more. His message is full of hope: you have the power within you to bring about the results you desire. His credentials, both personal and professional, seem to check out. After training as a psychiatric nurse in his native United Kingdom, he went on to learn the subtleties of psychotherapy, and today uses his background in NLP (neuro linguistic programming to the unitiated) as a major foundation of his work. When questioned about the usefulness of his message he said, “Most people overlook the power of being able to choose what to think and how to react.” He pointed out that a cat is pretty much hard wired to react to a mouse in a predictable way, but the fact that humans can choose a different reaction at will is where our virtual magic wands lay hidden, waiting for us to discover them. Emdon has a refreshing approach to self help. It is both friendly and versatile. Whether it proves as efficient at producing lasting change as a term at Hogwart's might remains a matter for personal discovery. He has created a brand new club, the "Wizard of Wisdom Success Club," in the full knowledge that only those committed to change will join. It might be argued by self help critics that those most in need are the ones who, by definition, would not join, but the Wizard, reminding us deftly that we can look at things differently, has another point of view: "It is not possible to help a person out of a hole unless first they accept that they are in one and that they also are willing to climb the rope ladder you throw them." Food for thought? Or a trip to Diagon Alley for a new wand? Details of Trevor Emdon's self help course and the new Wizard of Wisdom Success Club can be found at http://www.wizardofwisdom.com # # # Wizard of Wisdom Seminars mission statement is "Changing lives for the better forever." It creates, markets and seeks out top quality self improvement and self help products and services. They must be of high practical value and enable users to bring about rapid positive change for themselves and those whose lives they may affect. End
