There is a growing belief that our minds do have such power.  If proved true, then financial success as well as personal happiness and fulfillment in any area of life are at our disposal.

The problem is that most of us are conditioned to believe that our minds are simply for reacting to life, not for creating it. It seems, however, that we may have missing the point, not to mention the proverbial boat.  To begin, it is necessary to distinguish the mind from the brain.  The fact is that the brain is the organ through which mind is "received" in much the same way as a television set is the instrument through which the program signals are received.

The simple ability to change your mind, taken for granted by most of us, is cited as part of the power.  It leads to the possibility of changing one's opinion of oneself - and hence one could think of oneself as financially successful before that state is actually arrived at.  It is an interesting idea, especially when you consider that nobody seems to have become rich by worrying about money.
