Jeremy Lin missed 13 of 18 shots as the Knicks extend skid to five

Last time, Jeremy Lin has lifted the Knicks' winning streak to 7 games since Carmelo Anthony was missing. But now, it seems that his luck was already fading. He was only limited to 14 points, as his Knicks were blown out by the Sixers.

March 11, 2012 - PRLog -- Louis Williams scored 28 points, and Evan Turner had his best game with a double-double 24 points and 15 rebounds, as the division leaders Philadelphia 76ers ended their 3-game losing streak to the New York Knicks, 106-94.

All-Star Andre Iguodala collected 19 points, 8 assists and 7 rebounds for the Sixers. The Philadelphia 76ers remained to be the Atlantic Division leaders, as they extend their winning streak to three games. Louis Williams hit a jumper at the halftime buzzer, and scored a dozen points in the final three minutes of the third period.

As for Jeremy Lin, it seems that his luck was finally fading. Once called himself as "LinSanity" for his surprising performance during their 7-game winning streak, and the Knicks' TV ratings were rising so fast, now he finally tasted the reality. He only scored 14 points on a woeful 5 of 18 from the field, 7 assists and 6 turnovers, as he and the Knicks extended their losing streak to five.

Carmelo Anthony scored 22 points for the Knicks, but it wasn't good enough to lift his team into victory. He also didn't scored a field goal in the last three quarters. Amare Stoudemire was also limited to 9 points, while Tyson Chandler only had 8 points and 12 rebounds after missing two games with a sprained left hamstring. Stoudemire and Anthony didn't play in the fourth quarter, as the Knicks' luck seems to be fading already.

When Carmelo Anthony was introduced in the starting lineup, he was greeted with some boos from the home crowd. Once cheered loudly after his trade from the Denver Nuggets, it seems that Carmelo's luck is quite fading. For most of the game, the home crowd are often so quiet as they watch the Knicks losing their grip despite having a deep roster like Baron Davis and J.R. Smith. In the final minutes of the game, the home crowd chants "Fire D'Antoni" and the boos were getting louder at the end of the game.

Now there are chances that the New York Knicks' losing streak may be on the line as they will face an even more powerful and best team in the league, the Chicago Bulls. The Chicago Bulls did beat them in a close game at the Madison Square Garden, but they are going to test it without All-Star Luol Deng (left wrist injury), Rip Hamilton (shoulder injury) and C.J. Watson. Amare Stoudemire said that Chicago is a very tough team with reigning MVP Derrick Rose, so they need to get prepared for them.

As for the Philadelphia 76ers, their next two assignments would be the Indiana Pacers and fan favorite Miami Heat. The Pacers are coming off from an overtime road loss to the Miami Heat, which they nearly upset them. The Sixers are still having some difficulties in containing the Miami Heat, and head coach Doug Collins must be prepared for them.
