SF Television Show Films In Klamath County

March 8, 2012 - PRLog -- Klamath Falls, Oregon -  San Francisco network television affiliate KPIX-TV, Channel 5, the CBS station serving the San Francisco Bay Area, filmed a show in Klamath County and Klamath Falls on March 6th. The name of the show is “EYE ON THE BAY”. It is a weekly show that informs viewers of exciting travel excursions they can take from the Bay Area.
The program was co-developed by Discover Klamath Visitor and Convention Bureau – the official tourism agency of Klamath County – and Amtrak, who sponsored the Travel. Says Jim Chadderdon, Executive Director of Discover Klamath: “We are pleased to be able to host a media partner such as KPIX TV. They have a viewing audience of millions in the Bay Area and the positive exposure this brings to our area will be significant”. The show airs in May.
The focus of the trip was a road trip on Amtrak from San Francisco to Seattle. The film crew, accompanied by Amtrak officials, stopped in Klamath Falls for 24 hours to experience the Southern Oregon community and hospitality. Rose Blackson, Head of Marketing for Amtrak added: “We are happy KPIX’s travel show “Eye On The Bay” choose to take a road trip on Amtrak. And, our expectations were exceeded during our stop in Klamath Falls and Klamath County by the beauty, hospitality, and friendliness of everyone we met”.
