March 7, 2012 - PRLog -- imail attains coveted NHS Connecting for Health Status

Hybrid mailing specialist’s imail have achieved a rating of 100% for its service after completing Connecting for Health’s (CFH) Information Governance Toolkit assessment.  Achieving NHS CFH allows imail to officially handle sensitive mail for NHS Trusts.

With a rating of 100%, imail successfully met the terms and conditions of the Department of Health Information Governance Assurance Statement after undergoing a stringent assessment necessary to ensure complete security of NHS mail processed within imail. Coupled with UK Mails robust physical security processes, imail is now proven to be one of the most secure print and mail solution around.

The Information Governance Toolkit is a performance tool produced by the Department of Health (DH). The ultimate aim is to demonstrate that the organisation can be trusted to maintain the confidentiality and security of personal information. This in-turn increases public confidence that the NHS and its partners can be trusted with personal data.

imail is a unique hybrid mail service that allows organisations, a growing number from the Public Sector,  to create, proof and send important communications online, such as appointment reminders and test results. The innovative mailing service prints and delivers mail for users resulting in a quick and easy cost effective solution. From one letter to bulk mailing, imail can make significant cost savings for Public Sector users as well as reducing their carbon foot print. For medical practices operating on tight budgets, the service can not only save them money but free up valuable administration time which in the healthcare sector can be critical.

Andy Barber, General Manager for imail said ‘The CFH status demonstrates imail’s ability to provide a secure and efficient service. We have been through all the necessary safeguards process and are delighted to have achieved the CFH status. As well as providing reassurance, this confirms our commitment to providing quality, value added services into the NHS’
